LIVING AN EXCITING LIFE

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17).

The more you study the scriptures, the more convinced you’ll be that Christianity isn’t a region at all, but a living, exciting, fulfilling, and extraordinary walk in the supernatural. I made this discovery early in life as a young lad. The more I studied the Word of God, the more excited I was about Jesus; I discovered that Christianity works. I discovered that the Word was living and active. I discovered that the miracles in the Bible weren’t mere stories, and that the Holy Spirit was more that an influence.

Let’s look at some exciting examples in the Scriptures of some of those in whose lives the Holy Spirit manifested His extraordinary power. Judges 15:16 tells us how Samson overcame a thousand trained soldiers with the jawbone of an ass. In 1 Samuel 17:34-35, David testified how he killed a lion and a bear with his bare hands. Consider Moses: once, he and the Israelite were hemmed in between the Red Sea, and the charging Egyptian troops. The Bible tells us that as Moses stretched his hand over the sea, it split wide open for the Israelites to walk through on dry ground.

How exciting and inspiring to know that the same Spirit that worked with these and other Bible characters, as well as the Lord Jesus, and the apostles, is the same Spirit that’s at work in us today. 2 Corinthians 4:7 says, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the Excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us,” Our is even better, because like the Lord Jesus, we have the fullness of the Spirit (John 1:16, Colossians 2:9-10).
The same Spirit that raised Him from the dead lives in us today in His fullness (Romans 8:11); therefore, you can walk in fellowship with God as the Prophets, The Lord Jesus, and the apostles did. You can live an exciting life of victory, success, and excellence by the same Spirit.

The Love Of Christ

THE LOVE OF CHRIST CONTEMPLATED

"And to know the love of Christ." Eph. 3:19

On no other subject did the mind of the apostle Paul dwell with so much delight, as on that of the redeeming love of Christ. This was his favorite theme. It was his ardent desire to exhibit to a lost world, the grace of the Lord Jesus, which had been so abundantly manifested to himself, once a great sinner. It was the love of Christ that sustained him amid all his trials, and distresses, and persecutions, and enabled him to finish a glorious career.
Neither the threats of the Jews, nor the terror of the Romans, could separate him from the love of Christ, or in the least abate his zeal for spreading the news of salvation, and the wonders of redeeming love through a lost world.

Writing to the Romans, he boldly exclaims, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: 'For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.' No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The same apostle, writing to the Ephesians, desires and prays that Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith, that they being rooted and grounded in love, "may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge."

Let us contemplate the love of Christ in all its extent, and in all its vastness. When did it commence? In the past eternity. The love of Christ to his people extends from eternity. Though it was manifested in time, yet it existed from eternity. "Then I was by him as one brought up with him, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, and my delights were with the sons of men." Christ says to each of his chosen ones, "I have loved you with an everlasting love therefore, with loving kindness have I drawn you."

Oh! wonderful thought, everlasting love! Who can comprehend the import of these Words– everlasting love? Christ loves us, and his love is everlasting. Yes, dear believer, Christ loved you before the world was created; before you had an existence. From all eternity He thought upon your lost condition by nature; and oh! how willingly, how gladly, He left the throne of glory to bring salvation to you. His love never had a beginning. "This river of love began to flow before the world was; from everlasting, from the beginning, before ever the earth was. Christ's love to us is as old as the Father's love to the Son. This river of light began to stream from Jesus towards us, before the beams poured from the sun; before the rivers flowed to the ocean; before angel loved angel, or man loved man: before creatures were, Christ loved us. This is a great mystery; who can fathom it? This love passes knowledge."

The love of Christ will reach into eternity; will extend throughout its immeasurable ages it has no end. This is the sweet declaration of Christ, with regard to His love, that "For the mountains may depart and the hills disappear, but even then I will remain loyal to you. My covenant of blessing will never be broken," says the Lord, who has mercy on you."

O, to be among that happy number, who will enjoy in heaven the eternal favor of Christ's love, which will make eternity itself one joyous unclouded day of everlasting light and immortal felicity! Blessed Jesus! Give us a saving interest in your unchanging loving-kindness, which is better than life. O, let one ray of your most wonderful love light on our benighted hearts: soften them by the manifestation of your grace.

Of the vastness of the love of Christ, we can form no adequate conceptions; much less can we, by any power of the understanding, comprehend it. To use the emphatic language of Rutherford, "it is as if a child could take the globe of earth and sea in his two short arms." The love of Christ is like a great ocean, whose depths are unfathomable. There is a height in this love, to which no human intelligence can soar; a depth which no created mind can penetrate. In viewing the love of Christ, there lies a wide unbounded prospect before us. The mental vision wanders at liberty over this illimitable range. The love of Christ is circumscribed by no limits; it is bounded by no horizon: it is one vast expanse in which the soul may lose itself in wonder, delight, and admiration.

The love of Christ– "Paul says: 'The love of Christ passes knowledge.' It is like the blue sky into which you may see clearly, but the real vastness of which you cannot measure. It is like the deep, deep sea, into whose bosom you can look a little way, but its depths are unfathomable. It has a breadth without a bound, length without top, and depth without bottom. If holy Paul said this, who was so deeply taught in divine things; who had been in the third heaven, and seen the glorified face of Jesus; we have to say the same thing as fellow believers, look into that love, and say, It passes knowledge!"

If we cannot comprehend the love of Christ; if we cannot fathom it, let us contemplate and admire it. It was the love of Christ that led him to assume human nature, in order that He might suffer and die, and thus atone for the sins of His people. It was this love that induced Him to leave the bosom of His Father, and the adoration of the angelic host, and to sojourn among guilty, worthless mortals.

It was love that led Him to exchange the throne of glory for the manger of Bethlehem and the cross of Calvary. It was love that made His whole life, from the manger to the cross, one of grief and sorrow. Love made Him "a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief."

Well might the blessed Jesus have exclaimed, "Behold and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, with which the Lord has afflicted me in the day of His fierce anger." It was love that made Him suffer and die for sinners. Yes, love led Him to the gloomy garden of Gethsemane; love drew Him to the judgment hall; love nailed Him to the cross; and love enabled Him to exclaim with His expiring breath, "It is finished."

"Greater love has no man than this." The love of Christ is wonderful love: it is surpassing, boundless love. Look at that amazing love which Christ has manifested to sinners; and may you be able to comprehend with all saints what is its breadth, and length, and depth, and height! When you intently contemplate that redeeming love which brought Christ from His throne, to live and suffer, and die for sinners, does not your breast heave with emotions of gratitude? Does not your soul rise in adoration, and is it not lost in wonder, love, and praise?

Have you a heart so cold as not to be warmed by such unbounded love; a heart so hard as not to be softened by such grace as is here set before the eyes of a wondering world?

No feeble mortal can express the vastness of the love of Christ to sinners! It is a mystery which eternity itself will never fully unravel. "God only, knows the love of God." We know that it is great love, and that it is manifested to sinners, but it is love too boundless for the most capacious mind to grasp. None can comprehend its vastness: none can measure its immensity; language fails to describe it; human thought cannot fathom it; time cannot disclose its depths; and vast eternity itself will roll away in its continual and delightful contemplation. How transcendent is the love of Christ! It passes knowledge.

O my soul, are you not lost in wonder and admiration when you contemplate this divine love– the love of Jesus? And love so amazing, love so boundless as the love of Christ should call forth our loftiest strains of praise, and exercise our highest powers of mind in devout contemplations. It should be the constant theme of our meditation here, until we come to possess its full and eternal enjoyment in that world where all is love. And if we possess the love of Christ on earth, it will cheer our hearts, brighten our prospects, alleviate our sorrows, mitigate our afflictions, and emit a ray of hope that will enable us to rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, even in this valley of tears.

To be the object of Christ's love is desirable, and it is a blessed attainment to know that you enjoy it; to say with Paul, "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." There is nothing so much calculated to drive from sin, or excite to good works, as a ray of the love of Christ darting into the sinner's heart! This will more effectually melt it, than all tide terrors of the law, or the thunders of Sinai.

The love of Christ fills the soul with immortal joys. There is nothing so reviving to the believer, as the sweet thought of Christ's love to him. There is no subject stored with such an exuberance of divine consolation, and heavenly joy, as that of redeeming love– the love of the Son of God to a lost world. Every other subject loses its luster when contrasted with this sublime, soul-reviving theme; and nothing tends so effectually to expand, elevate, and purify the soul, as that faith "which works by love."

And what do we not owe to the love of Christ? All the comforts and happiness of life, and all the joys of a blissful eternity flow from this love. You should meditate much upon the love of Christ; and may that love ever glow within you, and be like a perpetual fire burning upon the altar of your heart.

"The love of Christ is a subject too lofty for a seraph's harp. The soul, renewed by the spirit, is often incapable of expressing the sublime feelings which pass through the mind, when thinking on this glorious subject. The love of Christ conveys a joy to the believer's heart, which is unspeakable and full of glory. The tongue cannot express the delight of heart which arises from the manifestation of this love. The joy of harvest, the joy of the bridegroom on his wedding day; the joy of victory, and taking great spoils from the enemy; the joy of a poor man in finding great treasures; all these are not worthy to be compared with the joy and exultation of the believer's heart, on the manifestation of this love to his soul."

What does the blessed Jesus deserve for such unbounded love to sinners? All our hearts should be devoted to his service, and all our affections should be placed upon him. We should love Him, because he first loved us. "Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy."

O to be made like the adorable Redeemer, and to praise Him throughout the countless age's of eternity, for the wonders of His redeeming love! May this be the desire of every reader; and may each be enabled to exclaim with the Psalmist, "Whom have I in heaven but you? There is none upon earth that I desire besides you!"

"One there is, above all others,
Well deserves the name of Friend
His is love beyond a brother's;
Costly, free, and knows no end.
They who once His kindness prove,
Find it everlasting love.
Which of all our friends to save us,
Could or would have shed their blood!
But our Jesus died to save us
Reconciled, in Him to God;
This was boundless love indeed
Jesus is a friend in need."

THE PURSUIT OF PURPOSE

"When a man separate himself to pray he set himself for a miracle".
"THE PURSUIT OF PURPOSE".

Gen 17:15 To live without the Spirit of God is tragedy. The best place to live is to live in the centre of God Will. There is a Purpose for every lives...my joy is the "Pursuit of God purpose" for my life...don't compare yourself with someone else...compete with yourself and outdo your past, don't look at someone else. Comparing yourself with someone else might destroy your life.
Challenge yourself to do more for God. A lot of people do miss God so easily? Don't listen to those that have missed God like King Samuel in (1 Samuel 28:11-19). Fight to remain humble and hold yourself in. When God send somebody to you listen to him, because the day you choose to listening to many voices, that's where your troubles would starts from. 1 Samuel 23:16-17, 1 Samuel 20:24-30. When God comes into a matter He does not look at who's wrong or who's right, He seek to perfect His Will. Prepare to serve the Lord in truth and in reality, because is easier to miss God. Let your spirit be greater than your environment. Don't try to make your life easier, hold on to God's Will. Don't spent your time discussing non essentials and never let someone damage someone else's reputation before you. Hold your own opinion and become a positive influence to others (1 Cor 4:4-5). Become what God wants your to be and pursue with vigor your God giving dreams and aspirations He has set before you.

THE TOUCH" OF FAITH

THE TOUCH" OF FAITH

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they were eith him said, Master; the multitude throng thee and press thee and press, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
(Luke 8:45).

Luke 8:43-48 tells the story of the woman with the issue of blood, who having suffered terribly for twelve years, her condition has become hopeless, discouraging and unbearable. She had tried everything to become well, but her hard-earned money was wasted on the medical help available at the time. In fact, she became worse. Dr. Luke was kinder in his Gospel when he said: "None could heal her."
A word about her condition: This "issue of blood" seems to be a gynecological flow of blood. Common enough, but hard to deal with. Not only did this condition affect her health, but it also made her pushed her way through a teeming crowd to get to Jesus. She had said within herself, "If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole."
Accordingly, she went ahead, "touched" the border of Jesus' garment, and was healed instantly. This wasn't an ordinary touch; it was a "touch of faith, because the Lord felt the impact of it; so much so the He asked, "Who touched me?

His disciples wanted Him to shrug if off and said, "...Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? (Luke 8:45). No; God doesn't ignore the "touch" of faith; so the Master insisted, "...Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue had gone out of me" (Luke 8:46). The woman, knowing she had been miraculously healed, came and fell at the Master feet, and stated for what purpose she had touched Him. Rewarding her faith, Jesus said to her, "...Daughter, be of good comfort: they faith hath made thee whole; go in peace" (Luke 8:48). The Master identified her "touch of faith" as what. Connected her to her healing and wholeness.
In the same vein, you can "touch" Jesus today and receive a miracle.
How do you touch Him today? Its through the Word; when your spirit makes contact with the Word. If God's Word can "touch you, its exactly the same as Jesus touching you because Him and His Word are One. This touch is beyoud the senses; its with your spirit. The Bible says with the heart-spirit-man believes unto righteousness (Romans 10:10); you believe with your spirit.

When you believe God's Word, and respond according to your believing, that's the "touch" of your spirit. At that moment, you make contact with the power of God. The power only works when you believe with your spirit and act accordingly.; that's faith: its the reponse of the human spirit to the Word of God. Let the Word "touch you today, and inspire the necessary faith-reponse from your spirit to-receive the miracle you desire. God bless you.

4 Essentials to Spiritual Growth

4 Essentials to Spiritual Growth

Are you a brand new follower of Christ, wondering where to get started on your journey? Here are 4 essential steps to build your spiritual growth. Though simple, they are vital to building your relationship with the Lord.

Step 1 – Read your Bible daily. Find a Bible reading plan that’s right for you. A plan will keep you from missing anything God has written in His Word. Also, if you follow the plan, you’ll be on your way to reading through the Bible once every year! The easiest way to truly “grow up” in the faith is to make Bible reading a priority.

Find a Bible Reading Plan and study good christian articles;

I recommend Rhapsody of Realities daily devotional. Visit http://rhapsodyofrealities.org.

And visit good christian websites and blogs: eg
Spiritual Development: LEARN TO MINISTER TO THE LORD

As you read through the various articles, you will learn and Grow Spiritually and you'll be acquainted with the dimensions of God's Love for us as christians and know how to take advantage of it. Visit this for more info: Spiritual Development: THE DIMENSIONS OF GOD'S LOVE

Step 2 – Meet together with other believers regularly. The reason we attend church or gather with other believers regularly (Hebrews 10:25) is for teaching, fellowship, worship, communion, prayer and to build one another up in the faith (Acts 2:42-47). Participating in the body of Christ is fundamental to spiritual growth. If you’re having trouble finding a church, check out these resources on how to find a church that’s right for you.

Step 3 – Get involved in a ministry group. Most churches offer small groups and many ministry opportunities. Pray and ask God where you should “plug in.” It’s the people who really “get plugged in” that find their purpose and soar in their walk with Christ. Sometimes this takes a little time, but most churches offer classes or counseling to help you find the place that’s right for you. Don’t get discouraged if the first thing you try doesn’t seem to fit.

Step 4 – Pray daily. Prayer is simply talking to God. You don’t have to use big fancy words. There are no right and wrong words. Just be yourself. Give thanks to the Lord daily for your salvation. Pray for others in need. Pray for direction. Pray for the Lord to fill you daily with His Holy Spirit. There is no limit to prayer. You can pray with your eyes closed or open, while sitting or standing, kneeling or lying on your bed, anywhere, anytime. So begin to make prayer a part of your daily routine. God bless you.

Spiritual Development:STRENGTHEN YOUR THOUGHT LIFE!

STRENGTHEN YOUR THOUGHT LIFE

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (ROMANS 12:2)

You're the character of your thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 says, "as a man thinks in his heart, so is he." In other words, you're not different from the way you think. Through months and years of continuously thinking in a certain way, your mind becomes programmed in that direction, and that's the direction your life will go. This explains the reason many have their lives messed up; nothing seems to be working. They didn't strengthen their thought life by thinking on the Word.

If you have been negatively programmed as a result of thinking wrongly, all you need is to change your way of thinking; strengthen your thought life with the Word. Our opening scripture, in the New Living Translation says, "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think…."

The Word of God can reprogram your life and strengthen your thought life with a new mindset. As you meditate on it, there's a renewing process –your mind is being re-programmed, and you're given a new mindset –the mindset of the righteous. Once your mind is strengthened through God's Word, you think success, progress, victory and prosperity. This will in turn change your language, as you'll be talking differently, and acting in line with your confessions of faith.

You were born of the Word of God, which energizes you for success, positions you for victory and sustains you in prosperity. Let the Word dwell in you richly, and meditate on it day and night. That way, not only will it change the way you think and talk, it will strengthen your thoughts and your life will be programmed for greatness and you'll move from one level of glory to another. STRENGTHEN YOUR SPIRITUAL PASSION THROUGH TONGUES

STRENGTHEN YOUR SPIRITUAL PASSION THROUGH TONGUES

Never lag in zeal {and} in earnest endeavor; be aglow {and} burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord (Romans 12:11AMP)

The only way you can be aglow with the fire of God in your spirit is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Acts 1:8 "And ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you." The Greek word translated power here is "dunamis," which refers to power that reproduces or revives itself.

Back in the Old Testament, they always needed a revival. King David asked in Psalm 85:6, "Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?" But the new man in Christ doesn't need revival.

All through the Epistles none of the Apostles ever asked for a revival. That's because we have in our day something the Old Testament folks didn't have; we can be filled with the Spirit and strengthen our spiritual passion twenty-four hours every day by spending time to pray fervidly in other tongues. This is something you must take seriously this month; strengthening your passion for Christ.

In Acts 2:2-4 the Bible says "And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." When you pray in tongues, that same glory that the apostles experienced in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost, can come on you, and you can maintain it twenty-four hours of the day, seven days of the week and three sixty-five days of the year! Your prayer life becomes an exciting, everyday relationship with the Father as you strengthen your passion for Christ through praying in tongues.

You may have heard some bad news, but instead of feeling terrible and sad all day long as a result of what you heard, get into the flow of the Spirit and talk in other tongues. That way, you're fixing things in the realm of the spirit. Every day, before you get about your business, speak in other tongues, and you'll have direction throughout the day.

When you have tough choices and decisions to make, speak in other tongues! When it looks as though you don't know what to do, and it looks as though your passion is waxing cold, get yourself to pray in the Spirit! That'll put you in the flow of the Spirit to receive direction as to what to do and become energized in your spirit to accomplish God's desire for you.
